Everyone admires the affectionate Scottie.

These friendly and playful doggies,

have distinct thick wiry coats which cannot be copied,

and vie with dachshunds for most silhouetted dog body.

All terriers are independent but eager to engage,

 with even tempers they never fuss, pout or rage.

making them the perfect companion for any age.

First bred in Scotland to be hunters,

their sweet personalities grew them quickly in numbers.

While hunting remains til this day a favorite hobby,

they are focused but obedient and rarely naughty.

Scottie’s enjoy brisk walks no matter the temperature,

and are famed for their loyalty and love of wandering.

Their intelligence may be misperceived to be haughty,

but these canines are jovial and love everybody.
